Junior infielder Parker Martin of the University of Southern Indiana earned a spot on the Ohio Valley Conference All‑Tournament team, guiding the Screaming Eagles to the semifinals with a blend of power and precision at the plate.
During the tournament Martin batted .412, launching two home runs and driving in seven runs. His most memorable outing came against Southeast Missouri State, where he went three‑for‑five with a double and four RBIs, delivering a two‑run double in the eighth to tie the game and a two‑run single in the ninth to clinch the win.
Martin’s impact extended beyond the tournament. Over the 2026 season he compiled a .272 average across 56 games, adding 39 RBIs, 13 doubles and four home runs. Those numbers helped the team close the year with a program‑best 29 victories, the most wins the program has recorded since transitioning to Division I.
