Parker Morin, a senior shortstop from Cony High School in Augusta, has been crowned the Dr. John Winkin Award winner, recognizing him as Maine’s top senior baseball player for the 2025‑26 season.
His impact was immediate and measurable: he batted .618, amassed 42 hits, drove in 44 runs, and launched nine home runs, guiding the Cony Eagles to the Class B state championship game.
A Season Defined by Excellence
Beyond the diamond, Morin proved a multi‑sport standout, finishing as a finalist for the Fitzpatrick Trophy in football and reaching the semifinals for the Mr. Maine Basketball honor, underscoring his athletic versatility.
The award ceremony, held at the annual Maine Baseball Coaches Association gathering, also highlighted a deep field of contenders, with Hudson Iacuessa, Alex Allain, Trot Moody, Denny Martin, Collin Sullivan, Jackson Barry, Brady Gaw and Calvin Richardson joining Morin as finalists for the Winkin Award.
Coaches and teammates alike praised Morin’s leadership and work ethic, noting that his performance has set a new benchmark for future Eagles. As he looks ahead to college recruitment, Morin says he hopes to bring the same competitive fire to his next chapter.
