Looking Ahead
Parker Simo, a left‑handed pitcher from J.H. Rose High School in Greenville, North Carolina, has officially committed to the baseball program at East Carolina University.
During his junior season he logged 47.1 innings, posted a 2.37 earned run average and struck out 55 batters, numbers that helped cement his reputation as one of the state’s most reliable arms.
Simo took the opportunity to thank Coach Godwin and the entire coaching staff, as well as his family, friends and teammates, for guiding him through the recruitment process.
Having reached a state championship game as a sophomore, Simo will get one final shot at the title next spring before heading to college, a prospect that adds extra excitement to his senior year.
East Carolina’s coaching staff expressed enthusiasm about adding a proven left‑hander to the roster, noting that his experience and work ethic should translate well to the Division I level.
