A High School Legacy
Patrick Croft, an 18-year-old from Odessa-Montour, capped a stellar high school career with a signing ceremony that highlighted his commitment to continue both his athletic and academic pursuits at Elmira College. Over four seasons he earned three-time Interscholastic Athletic Conference first-team all-star honors and helped the Grizzlies secure back-to-back IAC South Small School titles.
Choosing Elmira
The decision to attend Elmira College came with a full athletic scholarship and the opportunity to major in environmental science. Croft also plans to compete in club hockey, a prospect that aligns with his broader interest in environmental work and community engagement.
Mentors and Memories
Greg Gavich, O-M’s athletic director and Croft’s first soccer coach, introduced the young midfielder to the ceremony, while former varsity coaches Kenny May and Tanner Dupuy reflected on the formative lessons they shared with him. May emphasized the blend of skill and character that defined Croft’s approach, and Dupuy noted the team’s collective rise that culminated in two consecutive division championships.

Croft expressed both excitement and nostalgia, acknowledging that he will miss the tight-knit family atmosphere of Odessa-Montour while stepping into a new environment in New York. He remains focused on contributing to Elmira’s soccer program and pursuing his academic goals, confident that the foundation built over his high school years will support his next chapter.
