Patrick Renna, the actor who captured audiences as a young baseball enthusiast in the 1993 classic The Sandlot, is back on screen in a new television venture that blends comedy with the world of youth sports.
A Sandlot reunion
The series, titled Dugout Dads, follows Renna as a Little League coach who must navigate the pressures of demanding parents, skeptical officials and his own ambitions, turning everyday games into a stage for both humor and heartfelt moments.
Danielle Fishel joins the cast as Renna’s on‑screen wife, adding a personal dimension to the coach’s life, while a roster of familiar faces from the original Sandlot lineup — including Tom Guiry, Chauncey Leopardi, Marty York, Brandon Quintin Adams, Victor DiMattia, Shane Obedzinski, Grant Gelt, Will Horneff, Sebastian Jones, Dan Kopelman and Victor Nelli Jr. — appear in supporting roles.
