The Pella High School boys golf squad captured the district championship with a team score of 310, earning a spot in the upcoming state tournament.

KJ Besick led the way with an even‑par 72, while teammates Cole Floden, Landon Reynolds and Tate Lauman posted scores of 74, 80 and 84 respectively, rounding out the victorious lineup.

A Setback on the Pitch

The Pella girls soccer team saw its season slip after a 2‑0 loss to DCG in their final Lakeside Conference matchup.

Coach Scott Treft noted that the Dutch created several quality chances in a scoreless first half, but DCG broke the deadlock with a goal in the 30‑minute mark and added a second ten minutes later.

Despite the defeat, the team will look to rebound when they host Des Moines Roosevelt on Thursday, with varsity kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
