The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced that their 2026 prospect development camp will take place from June 29 to July 3 at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry, Pennsylvania. The five‑day program is designed to give the organization’s newest talent a comprehensive introduction to the professional environment.
Twenty‑two players have been invited to the camp, among them recently signed forwards Jake Livanavage, Melvin Fernstrom and Gabriel D’Aigle. These athletes represent the core of the team’s upcoming talent pool and will be evaluated across multiple on‑ice groups.
Beyond the on‑ice work, the camp will feature a series of off‑ice presentations and workshops focused on career planning, media training and personal development. These sessions aim to prepare the prospects for the transition from junior or collegiate play to the NHL.
A community outreach component is also part of the schedule, with prospects slated to take part in a local event that brings hockey to younger fans in the Cranberry area.
Camp Structure
The schedule is divided into three distinct groups, each receiving a mix of skill drills, positional work and scrimmage opportunities over the course of the week.
Public Access
All practices, including the tournament, are open to the public at no charge, allowing fans to observe the team’s future stars in action.
The camp will culminate on Friday, July 3, with an end‑of‑camp tournament that pits the three on‑ice groups against one another. The final day promises a showcase of the players’ growth and a glimpse of future lineup possibilities.
