Penn State Announces 2026 Football Game Themes Blending Tradition and Philanthropy

White Out, Stripe Out, and Community Partnerships Highlight Upcoming Season

Penn State University has unveiled the thematic lineup for its 2026 football season, a schedule that weaves together long‑standing traditions with new community‑focused initiatives.

A Season Defined by Tradition and Service

The centerpiece is a 19th full‑stadium White Out against the University of Southern California on October 10 at 7:30 p.m. ET, a game that will be televised nationally by NBC and streamed on Peacock.

A week later the Nittany Lions will host Marshall in the 11th annual Stripe Out, scheduled for September 5 at 3:30 p.m. ET; the event, presented by Onvo, asks fans to dress in coordinated blue or white to create a sea of school colors across Beaver Stadium.

Later in the season, on September 26, Penn State will stage its fifth Helmet Stripe game against the University of Wisconsin, tying the visual motif to a homecoming celebration that will also feature a revived parade through campus and downtown State College on September 25.

Philanthropy runs throughout the slate; the September 19 matchup with Buffalo will serve as the THON Game, partnering with the student‑run THON organization and GIANT to support the Four Diamonds fund, which benefits childhood cancer research at Penn State Health Children's Hospital.

Military appreciation will be highlighted on November 14 when the team hosts Minnesota, with tickets donated to the Seats for Servicemembers program and the event sponsored by SRS Distribution, honoring active‑duty personnel, veterans and their families.

The season will close with Senior Day against Rutgers on November 21, a ceremony that will introduce the final class of Nittany Lion seniors, an occasion organized by the Penn State Alumni Association.

Additional highlights include an All‑University Day celebration on October 31 against Purdue, where representatives from every Penn State Commonwealth Campus will be featured at halftime, underscoring the university’s statewide reach.
