Penn State’s men’s basketball program is entering a period of transition, with only three players returning from last season’s roster.
The departure of the previous leading scorers left a void amounting to 87.1% of the team’s points and 87.5% of the minutes played, prompting the athletic department to seek fresh talent.
Among the newcomers are two international prospects, Roko Prkačin and François Wibaut, who are currently awaiting eligibility clearance before they can don the blue and white.
Projected Starting Lineup
The coaching staff envisions senior point guard Jay Rodgers as the floor general, leveraging his experience to orchestrate the offense. Roberts Blums, a transfer from Davidson, is slated to start at shooting guard, bringing a reputation for reliable three‑point shooting. At small forward, Brant Byers, who arrived from Miami (Ohio), is expected to contribute primarily through his shooting touch. Ivan Jurić, the sole returning starter, will anchor the frontcourt at center.
Behind the starters, Tim Oboh, a transfer from Buffalo, is projected to provide depth at power forward, while Thomas Allard and Andy Gemao could see minutes at point guard. The freshman Aleksandar Zecevic, hailing from Spain, may also see action in the frontcourt.
Coach Mike Rhoades has indicated that the roster is still a work in progress, expressing openness to adding further pieces before the 2026‑27 campaign begins.
