During his four‑year tenure at the University of Akron, Farkas helped the Zips secure three consecutive NCAA tournament appearances and capture multiple Mid‑American Conference titles. He was also instrumental in the development of standout players such as Enrique Freeman and Nate Johnson, guiding them toward professional opportunities.
Early Career and Recruiting Reach
Before his time in Ohio, Farkas served as an assistant coach at SUNY Brockport, where he contributed to the team’s advancement to the Division III NCAA tournament in 2018 and 2020. His recruiting network across Long Island and New York City produced commitments from future conference Rookie of the Year honorees Danny Ashley and Mekhi Beckett, highlighting his ability to identify and nurture talent.
