Senior quarterback Lane McAnally was the catalyst, orchestrating a 15‑yard touchdown run with under five minutes left that put PORTA ahead. Earlier in the half, McAnally had connected on a 19‑yard touchdown pass to Bryce Davis, giving the team its first points of the game.
Turning Point: Defensive Plays that Changed the Game
The Bluejays' defense stepped up when it mattered most, recovering two pivotal turnovers. Drew Carter snagged an interception in the end zone, while a blocked punt by Ian Hinds revived Olympia with just 16 seconds remaining, setting up a final drive that fell short.
Offensively, PORTA struggled to move the chains early, gaining only three first downs before the decisive possession.
