Junior goalkeeper Peyton Hull was recognized as the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week after recording two shutouts in her first two appearances, turning away eleven shots while playing every minute of both matches.
Shutout Performance Against Notre Dame
In the season‑opener against the nation’s second‑ranked Notre Dame, Hull made eight saves in a 0‑0 draw, preserving the clean sheet and frustrating a high‑powered offense.
The following evening, Samford hosted Belmont and secured a 2‑0 victory, with Hull contributing three crucial saves that helped maintain the margin of victory.
