Pike Road Patriots Top Preseason Championship Odds in Montgomery Area Poll

Vance Law Firm‑sponsored Montgomery Advertiser poll shows overwhelming reader support for the Class 5A team

A recent poll conducted by the Montgomery Advertiser, presented by the Vance Law Firm, asked local readers to pick the high school football team with the best chance of capturing a championship this fall.

Poll Results Show Clear Favorite

Pike Road’s Class 5A program, known as the Patriots, earned 86 percent of the votes, far outpacing Montgomery Academy and Prattville, which received 9 and 1 percent respectively.

The Patriots finished the previous season 10‑3 and advanced to the third round of the playoffs, a run that ended with the graduation of several key defensive players but retained quarterback Gunner Gibbs and senior running back Quinton Robinson, who is eager to make his mark.

Coach Jaeden Day, now in his second year, says the team is focused on building on that momentum, while the community’s enthusiasm reflects a broader belief that the Patriots are poised for a deep postseason run.
