The Bluffton High School boys soccer squad kicked off its 2026 campaign on August 14 with a 2-0 setback against Shawnee, slipping to an early 0-1 record.
Shawnee struck first, heading into the break with a 1-0 lead and adding an insurance goal after the interval, while Bluffton’s Logan Vogelsang contributed an assist and Preston McClendon made two saves.
A Glimpse at the Road Ahead
The Pirates will next travel to face Botkins on August 18, a team that finished the previous season with a 16‑3‑2 record and recent advancement to the Div. V southwest region semifinals, before hosting Archbold on August 20.
