The University of Pittsburgh’s football program is set to transform the way supporters experience game day at Acrisure Stadium.
Starting in 2027, the team will launch a full reseat and repark initiative that gives season ticket holders and parking pass owners the ability to pick new seating and parking locations based on their Panther Club membership tier and accumulated priority points.
This marks the first time such a system has been applied across Pitt Athletics, offering a personalized approach that aligns fan preferences with the resources they contribute to the university.
Selection order follows a clear hierarchy: membership level takes precedence, followed by priority points that reflect financial donations, length of membership, season ticket purchases, and affiliation with the University of Pittsburgh.
The priority lock deadline is scheduled for March 1, 2027, after which eligible members can begin submitting their preferences.
Membership tiers range from the modest Panther tier at $100 to the elite Script Society, which requires contributions of $50,000 or more. Each tier unlocks a different pool of priority points, with scholarship donations earning three points per $100, additional gifts adding five points, and each year of consecutive membership granting ten points.
Points are also awarded for season ticket tenure, with two points granted for each year of purchase, and for continued involvement with the university, which can add further weight to a fan’s claim.
The overhaul is designed not only to streamline allocation but also to reward long‑term engagement, ensuring that fans who have supported the program financially and through attendance receive priority in choosing the spots that best suit their game‑day experience.
Membership Tiers and Point Calculations
The tier structure includes The Script Society ($50,000+), National Champion ($10,000+), ACC Champion ($5,000–$9,999), Victory ($2,500–$4,999), Blue & Gold ($1,250–$2,499), ROC ($650–$1,249), H2P ($250–$649), and Panther ($100–$249).
Within each bracket, contributors earn points based on the size of their scholarship gifts, with every $100 translating to three priority points, while larger donations receive a flat five‑point boost.
Longevity also matters; members who have maintained their status for multiple years accumulate ten points per additional year, and each season of ticket ownership adds two points to the total.
This points‑based system creates a dynamic ranking that reflects both financial commitment and sustained involvement, giving the university a transparent method to match seating and parking with fan investment.
Beyond the logistical benefits, the initiative invites supporters to shape their own stadium experience, tailoring location choices to personal preferences while still honoring the traditions of Pitt football.
As the 2027 season approaches, the university encourages all eligible fans to review their membership details, calculate their priority points, and submit their selections before the March deadline, ensuring a personalized and rewarding game‑day atmosphere at Acrisure Stadium.
