The Plainview Bulldogs have released their 2026 varsity football schedule, a slate that blends early non‑district tests with a full slate of 4A competition. The classification reflects the team’s recent growth and sets the stage for a competitive season against schools of similar size across West Texas.
Early Tests and Non‑District Challenges
The season will open with a scrimmage against Pampa on August 14, followed by a second intra‑squad workout against Frenship on August 20‑21, before the Bulldogs hit the road to face Levelland on August 28 at 7 p.m. These early contests serve both as a warm‑up and a chance for the coaching staff to evaluate depth before the first official game.
Home fans will get their first taste of action on September 4 when Dumas visits Bulldog Stadium at 7 p.m., and a week later the team travels to Hereford for a 7 p.m. showdown. The schedule also includes a homecoming celebration on September 18 against Lubbock Coronado, a tradition that draws a large crowd and marks the midpoint of the regular season.
Homecoming and Senior Night
Later in October, the Bulldogs will observe senior night on October 2 against Shallowater, a bittersweet occasion that honors the graduating class before the final push. The regular season will resume district play on October 23 with a road game at San Angelo Lake View, and the final home matchup will be against Midland Greenwood on October 30 before the season closes with an away game at Andrews on November 6.
