The upcoming race weekend at Pocono Raceway will be marked by a series of tributes to the late NASCAR champion Kyle Busch, who passed away earlier this month from complications of pneumonia and sepsis.
Memorial details and fan participation
Among the most visible gestures is a spot on the Infield Walk of Fame, where a stone will bear the number 18, the digit 8 colored in and the 1 outlined, a nod to his iconic No. 18 car.
A Fan Zone memorial will invite supporters to leave notes and memories for Busch’s family, while fans will receive stickers bearing the number 8 to wear throughout the event.
A look back at Busch’s career
Additional acknowledgments include a 30‑foot banner that will showcase all eight of Busch’s victories at the Triangle, a Gasoline Alley overhang board displaying “Rowdy 8,” and a Paddock banner that also honors the late driver Greg Biffle.
The program cover will feature Busch, and a ROWDY Lap 8 tribute will be woven into all three races of the weekend. Videoboard graphics and announcements will punctuate invocations and driver meetings, ensuring his presence is felt throughout the weekend.
