The Port Washington High School baseball team wrapped up a hard-fought season with a 14-13 record, securing second place in the Glacier Trails Conference and marking the program's first winning season in recent memory.
Conference officials acknowledged the team's achievements by honoring six players across the league, highlighting the depth of talent on the roster and the impact of individual contributions throughout the year.
Conference Honors
Sophomore Max Webb led the accolades with a dual placement on the first team as both a pitcher and utility player. Webb's dominance on the mound included 46 strikeouts over 34.1 innings, posting a 2.62 ERA, while his bat delivered a .417 average with 16 RBIs, 14 doubles, a triple and a home run.
Junior Jackson Bergin earned a spot on the second team after batting .323 and driving in 14 runs, while senior center fielder O’Neil Wright matched that placement with a .373 average at the plate.
Sophomore Thomas Ward received recognition for his defensive prowess in the outfield and his pitching contributions, highlighted by a five-inning no-hitter. Sam Thompson anchored the rotation with a 2.35 ERA and a league-leading 45 innings pitched.
Senior third baseman Jackson Dickson impressed with an on-base percentage of .490 in conference play, rounding out a balanced lineup that combined power, precision and resilience.
The team's success was supported by a strong coaching staff and a community that turned out in force, setting the stage for continued growth and future competitiveness in the upcoming season.
