The Potsdam Elks Lodge #2074, a longtime supporter of local youth programs, is set to open its doors to families on August 5 for a free soccer event at Potsdam High School.

Open to all children who will be under 14 years old on January 1, 2026, the shoot requires no prior experience and invites participants of every skill level to join the fun. Registration begins at 5:00 p.m., and the soccer shoot kicks off at 5:30 p.m., followed by food and beverages for players and their families.
Mary Phippen‑Charleston, a longtime member of the lodge, urged parents to bring their children and relatives, emphasizing that the event is as much about community connection as it is about sport.
