The Nashville Predators have opened the doors of their annual Development Camp, a week‑long immersion that brings together a blend of emerging talent and seasoned prospects.
This year’s edition features 31 skaters and six goaltenders, among them all eight of the 2026 NHL Draft selections, underscoring the organization’s commitment to a deep talent pipeline.
Prospects to watch
First‑rounders Wyatt Cullen and Tommy Bleyl headline the group, having been drafted at No. 10 and No. 31 overall respectively, while 2025 fifth‑overall pick Brady Martin joins a cohort that also includes Cameron Reid and Ryker Lee, both selected in the opening round of the 2025 draft.
The camp’s agenda mixes on‑ice practices with off‑ice conditioning, culminating in the Future Stars Game scheduled for July 3, a showcase that will give fans a first look at the next wave of Predators talent.
Beyond the 2026 class, the Predators have invited a handful of players from previous drafts, including Egor Surin, a 2024 first‑rounder viewed as NHL‑ready, and Aiden Fink, a 2023 selection who impressed with the Milwaukee Admirals last season and could make his NHL debut in the near future.
General manager David Poile has emphasized that the camp is part of a broader strategy to reinforce the prospect pool with multiple high picks over the past two years, a plan that aligns with the team’s long‑term vision of sustained competitiveness.
The event also serves as a networking hub, bringing together prospects from partner clubs such as the Soo Greyhounds, Kitchener Rangers and the Kontinental Hockey League, as well as alumni who have moved on to organizations like the San Jose Sharks and the New York Rangers.
With the camp underway, the Predators’ front office and coaching staff are evaluating not only skill sets but also character and adaptability, factors that will ultimately shape the roster decisions heading into the upcoming season.
