As the 2026 Big East men's soccer season draws near, analysts have released a series of preseason forecasts that are already influencing conversations about which programs will dominate the conference.
Key Award Contenders
Among the most anticipated individual honors, Georgetown’s Mitchell Baker is projected to earn the Offensive Player of the Year award, while teammate Eric Howard is expected to be recognized as the Defensive Player of the Year. Adding a further Georgetown connection, Connecticut’s Kyle Durham is forecasted to receive the Goalkeeper of the Year accolade.
The preseason All‑Big East team reflects a blend of talent from across the league, featuring players from Georgetown, Akron, Connecticut, Seton Hall, Providence and Creighton, illustrating the breadth of competition.
