A Season of Dual Excellence
The Princeton University men’s ice hockey squad has capped a remarkable campaign by placing eleven of its student‑athletes on the Krampade/AHCA All‑American Scholars list, the highest tally among ECAC programs this year.
To earn the distinction, each player must have maintained a 3.75 grade point average throughout the semester while also appearing in at least 40 percent of the team’s contests, with limited exemptions granted to those sidelined by injury or serving as backup goalies.
Head coach Ben Syer praised the accomplishment, noting that the scholars embody the program’s commitment to thriving both on the rink and in the classroom. “Their dedication to excellence in every arena sets the tone for everything we strive to be,” he said.

The roster, featuring standout performers such as Conor Callaghan, Ian Devlin, Jaxson Ezman, Miles Gunty, David Jacobs, David Ma, Nick Marciano, Tyler Rubin, Jayden Sison, Hans Martin Ulvebne and Brendan Wang, embraces the full meaning of being a Princeton student‑athlete.
Coach Syer emphasized that the team’s standard permeates every facet of the program, from academic rigor to athletic performance, reinforcing a legacy that extends beyond the scoreboard.
