Progressive Insurance will soon be a visible presence at the University of Georgia’s football venue, with its logo set to appear between the hedges of Sanford Stadium throughout the 2024 season.
The agreement extends beyond a simple signage deal, encompassing branding on the stadium’s sideboards, in‑venue LED displays and a suite of digital and social‑media integrations that will connect fans to the partnership.
Learfield and JMI Sports, operating under the banner of Georgia Bulldog Sports Marketing, will oversee the arrangement, which places Georgia among a dozen other collegiate programs adopting similar corporate collaborations.
Progressive, headquartered in Mayfield Village, Ohio, says the investment is aimed at supporting collegiate student‑athletes and enriching the overall fan experience, reflecting a broader strategy to deepen ties with university athletic departments.
Athletic director Josh Brooks praised the partnership, emphasizing that the additional resources will help maintain the Bulldogs’ national competitiveness while providing new opportunities for student‑athletes.
A New Era of Sponsorship in College Football
The deal underscores how major brands are leveraging college sports platforms to reach large, engaged audiences, while institutions negotiate increasingly sophisticated agreements that blend financial backing with experiential marketing.
