Pueblo Dominates CHSAA All-State Selections
The Colorado High School Activities Association has released its All-State girls soccer teams, recognizing standout performances from across the state. Pueblo-area programs earned a series of honors, with multiple players named to first, second and honorable-mention squads across Classes 2A through 4A.
Rye High School seniors Angelina Atencio and Danilyn Frick received honorable-mention accolades in Class 2A, while Ella Greenwood of Pueblo Centennial secured a spot on the Class 3A second team. Several other Pueblo athletes were listed among the honorable mentions for Classes 3A and 4A, highlighting the depth of talent in the region.
Conference Awards and MVPs
The 4A South-Central League announced its all-conference roster, and the league’s top awards went to local players. Lilly Adams from Pueblo County was named Most Valuable Player, Jailee Schwab of Pueblo Centennial earned Offensive MVP, and Rylee Stupnik of Pueblo County captured Defensive MVP. Sophia Howes from Pueblo County was additionally honored as Goalkeeper of the Year.
Coach Jeff Sterling of Pueblo Centennial received Coach of the Year recognition, further underscoring the community’s impact on the sport.
Beyond athletic honors, a number of Pueblo seniors and juniors were selected to the Academic All-League teams, reflecting balanced excellence in the classroom and on the field.
The collective achievements illustrate how Pueblo schools continue to compete at a high level, drawing statewide attention to their programs and athletes.
