Purdue Secures Commitment from Chicago Offensive Lineman Chase Clark

The three-star recruit flips from Oklahoma State, bolstering the Boilermakers' 2027 offensive line

Purdue football has added a new verbal commitment that could strengthen its front line for the class of 2027.

A Line of Promise

Chase Clark, a three‑star prospect from Mount Carmel High School in Chicago, announced his decision to join the Boilermakers after having been committed to Oklahoma State earlier this month. Listed at 6‑foot‑5 and 275 pounds, he brings a blend of size and athleticism that aligns with Purdue’s offensive scheme.

His flip comes as Purdue’s 2027 recruiting class has already amassed 14 verbal pledges, with Clark becoming the third offensive lineman to commit.

The other offensive linemen in the class are Patrick O'Brien from Moeller in Cincinnati and Westfield’s Nick Schurman, both of whom add depth and experience to the group.

Head coach Zach Crabtree, who took over the program recently, has emphasized line play in his early recruiting pitches, a strategy that appears to be resonating with prospects.

Clark’s commitment also highlights the competitive nature of the recruiting landscape, as he chose Purdue over other programs that had offered him scholarships, including Oregon State.

The addition is expected to bolster Purdue’s depth and provide continuity as the team looks to improve its offensive production in the coming seasons.
