At the National Hockey Centre in Tacarigua, Queen’s Park (QPCC) edged past Paragon 3‑1 to claim the men’s crown of the 2026 Trinidad and Tobago Hockey Board Outdoor League. Goals from Evan Farrell, Shawn Lee Quay and Adam Perreira sealed a victory that ended a 20‑year title drought for the club.
A Milestone for QPCC
Coach Darren Cowie praised the blend of seasoned veterans and promising youngsters that made the win possible. He highlighted players such as Evan Farrell, Aidan De Gannes and Jordan Vieira, whose contributions have steadied the side after years of indoor success but limited outdoor impact.
The triumph propelled QPCC to 41 points, four clear of Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, who have one match remaining and can no longer overtake the leaders. The win also marks the club’s second title of the campaign and underscores its resurgence after dominating indoor competitions while struggling on the outdoor circuit.
Looking ahead, QPCC is eager to see the return of the 11‑a‑side format and is preparing for an international club tournament scheduled for July 9‑12. The club also anticipates a revival of its indoor competition, which has been a stronghold for many of its players.
The women’s title and the Trinity Men’s title were decided earlier in the week, completing a busy week of championship outcomes for the association.
