Quimari Peterson, a Gary, Indiana native, has signed with Limburg United of the Belgian league, bringing his Big Ten experience to a club that has been building a roster of American imports.
From Indiana to the Big Ten
Peterson’s college journey began at Indiana State, where he made a brief freshman appearance before moving on to East Tennessee State, where he posted averages of 13.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists, and later to John A. Logan College, guiding the team to a 33‑2 record and its first NJCAA championship in 2023.
After transferring to Washington for the 2025‑26 season, he contributed with 9.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game, while his 44 steals ranked sixth in the Big Ten and he started 18 of the 33 games he played.
His performance earned him the 2024‑25 Southern Conference Player of the Year award, a testament to his growth after a season that included 18 starts in all 33 games.
Limburg United, founded in 2014, concluded its most recent campaign with an eight‑game winning streak, and will field five American starters, with Peterson expected to start at point guard alongside four other U.S. born players.
