Former Washington Huskies guard Quimari Peterson has officially signed with Limburg United, the Belgian first‑division basketball franchise, ahead of the upcoming season.
Peterson, a native of Gary, Indiana, arrives after a standout collegiate career that included two seasons at East Tennessee State and a year at John A. Logan College, where he helped the team capture its first NJCAA Championship.
During his lone season with the Huskies he started 18 games and appeared in all 33 contests, posting averages of 9.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists while ranking sixth in the Big Ten with 44 steals.
A Fresh Start in Belgium
Limburg United, founded in 2014, finished the 2025‑26 campaign on an eight‑game win streak and will rely on Peterson to anchor its backcourt alongside four other American‑born starters.
Coach Marc DeLima praised the guard’s defensive instincts and playmaking ability, noting that his experience in high‑pressure games should translate well to the Belgian league’s fast‑paced style.
The move marks the latest step in Peterson’s transatlantic journey, which began at Indiana State before he transferred to the University of Washington and later to East Tennessee State, where he earned First Team All‑SoCon honors as a junior in 2024‑25.
