Quinn Duffy, a rising senior at Out-of-Door Academy, is spending his summer not just sharpening his own game but also guiding the next generation of soccer players.
Leadership in Action
At a local soccer camp, Duffy is taking on the role of coach and mentor, using his experience across multiple positions to challenge younger campers to think critically about their play.
His primary goal is to help his high school team capture the district title and, if possible, advance to the regional final, but he says the bigger prize is the chance to push himself and enjoy the process.
Among the campers is Christian Parra, a budding striker who has already benefited from Duffy’s hands‑on guidance and the insights he shares about teamwork and resilience.
Beyond the Pitch
Duffy hopes the lessons he imparts will stick with the campers long after the final whistle, shaping how they approach challenges both on and off the field.
Looking ahead, he envisions a future where coaching becomes a central part of his own career, continuing the cycle of mentorship he now enjoys.
