Quinn Preston is back with the Toledo Walleye, marking his return to the ECHL club for the 2026‑27 season after a five‑year odyssey that began with his professional debut in 2021‑22.
During his early pro years he posted seven points in eight games and two penalty minutes across five playoff appearances, then spent parts of the last three seasons with the Kalamazoo Wings, where he recorded 53 points and 54 penalty minutes in 69 games last year.
A career of movement and growth
Preston’s ECHL résumé includes 181 points and 151 penalty minutes over 236 games with Toledo, Wichita and Kalamazoo, while his 2023‑24 stint in the Elite Ice Hockey League saw him add 22 points in 26 games for Belfast.
Before turning pro he compiled 72 points in 127 games over four seasons at Ohio State, serving as an alternate captain in his junior and senior years, and earlier shone in the United States Hockey League with Dubuque, where he tallied 90 points in 115 games.
The Walleye’s roster now benefits from a player who blends offensive production with a physical edge, a combination that could prove pivotal as the team looks to contend in the upcoming campaign.
