Quinnipiac Men’s Ice Hockey Announces 2026‑27 Schedule

A packed non‑conference slate and the upcoming CT Ice event

Season Overview

Quinnipiac University’s men’s ice hockey program has released its 2026‑27 schedule, a slate that blends a demanding non‑conference road trip with a home‑heavy start to the season. The plan includes 12 games outside the league, two exhibition contests and 22 league matchups under the guidance of head coach Rand Pecknold.

The season opens on Oct. 2 with a home weekend at M&T Bank Arena, where the Bobcats will host New Hampshire and Merrimack. The early slate sets a competitive tone and gives the team a chance to build chemistry in front of its own fans.

Following the opening weekend, Quinnipiac will embark on a road stretch that begins with back‑to‑back games at Maine on Oct. 9 and 10. The team will then travel to Penn State for its first visit to Happy Valley on Oct. 16, marking the start of a series of away contests that will test the squad’s depth.

A highlight of the non‑conference schedule is the home matchup against Army West Point on Oct. 23. It will be the first meeting between the two programs since the 2004‑05 campaign and adds a historic rivalry back into the mix.

The Bobcats will also host Providence on Oct. 31, their first regular‑season encounter with the Friars since November 2013. The game promises a nostalgic reunion for longtime fans.

November brings matchups against Boston University and the College of the Holy Cross before the fall schedule wraps up with a game against Stonehill on Dec. 12. Those contests round out a busy opening stretch that blends tradition with new challenges.

The new year begins with exhibition games against Maryville University and the University of Guelph on Jan. 2 and 3, respectively. These contests serve as a warm‑up before the team heads into the CT Ice tournament.

The 2026‑27 edition of CT Ice will be held at the end of January, featuring games on Jan. 29 and 30. The event will bring together several regional programs and provide a high‑profile showcase for Quinnipiac’s squad.
