A gremlin in the cooling system
During a green‑flag pit stop, a crew member reported that a foreign object had punctured the radiator, causing a steady leak that quickly coated the racing surface in oil. The resulting cleanup delayed the event and left Reddick’s car overheating as it struggled to stay on the track.
The incident is the latest in a series of mechanical woes for the driver. Earlier in June he endured a DNF at Michigan after a tire blowout, suffered a tire failure at San Diego, and experienced a power‑steering malfunction at Sonoma, each of which compounded the team’s reliability concerns.
