A sudden downpour forced the NCAA Division I Baseball Atlanta Regional to shift its schedule, with the originally slated Friday night contest pushed back and a new set of Saturday matchups announced.
Saturday's Revised Schedule
The revised slate now features three games on Saturday: the first at 10 a.m. pits Oklahoma against The Citadel, followed by a 2 p.m. showdown between the loser of that contest and UIC, and a 6 p.m. finale that will see the winner of the earlier game face Georgia Tech.
Fans who had purchased tickets for the postponed Friday evening game will be able to use them for the 10 a.m. Saturday start, while those holding tickets for the 1 p.m. Saturday slot can redeem them for the 2 p.m. game.
Stadium staff will clear the venue between each contest, and gates will open 45 minutes before the first pitch to accommodate the adjusted timing.
Organizers say the television designations for Saturday’s games are still to be determined, but the changes aim to keep the regional tournament on track despite the weather.
