Rain Disrupts SEC Tournament Schedule
A sudden downpour in Hoover, Alabama, has thrown the SEC tournament into disarray, halting play and forcing officials to pause the scheduled fixtures.
The much‑anticipated showdown between Texas and Arkansas, originally slated for a 3 p.m. CT start, will now tip off at 4 p.m. CT as crews work to clear the field.
Following that game, the Auburn‑Texas A&M contest is expected to begin roughly 30 minutes later, giving teams a compressed window to prepare.
The winners of those two Friday contests are slated to meet in the semifinals on Saturday, with that matchup penciled in to start about 30 minutes after the noon CT clash between Georgia and Florida.
Auburn, the No. 6 seed, secured its spot in the quarterfinals after a 3‑1 victory over LSU in the second round, while Texas A&M entered the tournament with a double bye as the No. 3 seed.
Both quarterfinal games will be carried live on the SEC Network, giving fans a chance to follow the rescheduled action.
