Rain Forces Schedule Shift
A sudden bout of heavy rain and lightning struck Wilmington late Tuesday, prompting organizers of the 2026 Colonial Athletic Association baseball tournament to adjust its slate of games.
Game 6, pitting Monmouth against UNCW, is now slated to begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday, with the victor required to return to the field roughly an hour later for an elimination contest against Northeastern.
Officials have indicated that the remainder of the championship schedule will be released later this evening, as they assess field conditions and safety concerns.
