A Milestone Year for Hawai'i Football
The University of Hawai'i announced that seven of its 2026 football contests will be carried on a national stage, marking a significant expansion of the Rainbow Warriors' broadcast footprint.
The season will open with a showdown against Stanford on August 29 at 1:00 p.m. Hawaiian time, a game that will also debut the Rainbow Warriors on the ACC Network for the first time.
Broadcast Partners and Key Dates
Later in the year, the team will appear on The CW three times, including a road test at Wyoming on September 26 and a home contest against North Dakota State on November 14.
FOX Networks has earmarked three additional games for national exposure, featuring trips to New Mexico, UTEP and Nevada, while the Mountain West Championship Game will also be televised on FOX on December 4.
Four other contests have been selected for the MW+ platform, and local broadcast arrangements will be announced as the schedule progresses, promising further visibility for the program.
Historic Context and Expectations
The upcoming slate also restores a narrative of renewal after the Rainbow Warriors snapped a 15‑game national television losing streak last season with a 23‑20 victory over Stanford on CBS, a win that underscores the team's growing competitiveness.
Fans can anticipate a vibrant mix of home and away spectacles, with the Rainbow Warriors poised to leverage these high‑profile slots to showcase their talent on a broader stage.
