A record crowd of 46,600 spectators gathered at the Autodrom Most for the 2026 NASCAR GP Czech Republic, eclipsing the previous attendance high set in 2025 and signalling a surge of interest in the series across the continent.
A Festival of Speed and Community
The weekend blended high‑octane competition with a festive atmosphere, as organizers granted open paddock access that let fans mingle with drivers, mechanics and team personnel while the cars were being prepared for the next session.
Alongside the premier NASCAR stock‑car races, the event featured the V8‑powered Euro Series, the FIA European Truck Racing Championship and a slate of historic races such as Kampf der Zwerge and the British Historic GT, adding variety and nostalgia to the schedule.
Champions Vittorio Ghirelli and Thomas Toffel topped the overall standings, while home‑favorite Martin Doubek thrilled Czech supporters, and drivers like Jordan O’Brien and Sebastiaan Bleekemolen contributed to the on‑track excitement.
The circuit’s twisty 4.212‑kilometre layout, framed by the historic Hněvín Castle, provided a dramatic backdrop that attracted enthusiasts from across the Czech Republic and beyond.
A novel addition this year was the inaugural NASCAR Euro Series Run on foot, which drew nearly 1,000 participants who ran alongside racing stars such as Bleekemolen, further blurring the line between competitor and spectator.
Roman Stanek, owner of Autodrom Most, praised the weekend’s energy, noting that the blend of racing, support series and fan‑centric activities created a unique motorsport festival in Europe.
