Reed High School in Sparks, Nevada, has announced that 25 seniors have formally signed letters of intent to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level, marking one of the most sizable signing classes in recent memory.
Spotlight on the Raiders' multi‑sport standouts
Among them, three athletes have drawn particular attention for their exceptional performances and versatile talents. Taua Puloka, a two‑sport star who excelled in both basketball and track, will join the Nevada Wolf Pack women's basketball program after averaging 21.8 points per game over her last two seasons and capturing a state championship with Bishop Manogue in 2023‑24.
Puloka is slated to begin conditioning with the Wolf Pack on June 15, a milestone that underscores the school's growing pipeline into NCAA programs.
Breana Staats, who set a Nevada state record with 259 career hits in softball, has committed to Utah State University. She will spend the summer competing in travel softball across Northern California before relocating to Logan, Utah, where she will join the Aggies' roster later in August.
Drevin Jones, a resilient football player who overcame a knee injury sustained during the previous season, will pursue both football and track at Eastern Oregon University, aiming to contribute on the field and the sprinting track.
The commitments reflect a broader trend of local talent seeking opportunities at the Division I and Division II levels, and they highlight the increasing visibility of Reed High's athletic programs on the national stage.
