Reno Rings in America250 with a Baseball Spectacle
Greater Nevada Field will transform into a patriotic playground on Independence Day as the Reno Aces welcome the California Collegiate League All Stars for a special holiday baseball matchup. The game is part of the America250 Nevada program, commemorating 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Reno Aces President Eric Edelstein described the event as a blend of baseball, country and community, emphasizing how the celebration brings together fans, families and local businesses for a shared experience.
California Collegiate League Executive Director Aaron Milam highlighted the league’s role as a launching pad for aspiring professional players, noting that the holiday showcase offers a rare glimpse of future talent on a national stage.
A Day of Games, Music and Community
Pre‑game activities kick off at 4 p.m., with gates opening an hour later. Attendees can enjoy free carnival games, live music and special beer deals while browsing autograph sessions with players, a home‑run showdown and a pie‑eating contest.
After the final out, a large fireworks display will light up the Reno skyline, capping off a day that blends sport, celebration and community spirit.
