During his debut year with the Wolfpack, Johnson batted .381 while driving in 31 runs and adding 10 doubles, a home run and solid defensive contributions. His performance earned him ACC Second Team and All‑Freshman Team honors, marking him as one of the conference’s most promising talents.

The United States opens its campaign against Korea on July 11, faces Chinese Taipei on July 12, and meets Japan on July 13. Semifinal matchups are slated for July 14, with the championship and third‑place games concluding the event on July 15.
