The New England Revolution announced a sweeping reshuffle of its soccer leadership, elevating Curt Onalfo to Senior Vice President of Soccer Operations and naming Chris Tierney as General Manager and Chief Soccer Officer.
Onalfo, a former U.S. Olympian and MLS Cup champion, will now direct the club’s soccer operations and the Pro Pathway, which encompasses the Academy and the reserve side Revolution II, while also steering long‑term player development initiatives.
Tierney, who spent 11 seasons as a Revolution player before moving into the front office in 2019, will oversee the first‑team roster, technical staff and overall roster construction, drawing on his deep familiarity with the organization.
Leadership reshaped
Both executives will report to President Brian Bilello, who praised the duo for their complementary visions and the blend of playing experience with administrative acumen.
Onalfo said he is eager to build on the Pro Pathway’s recent successes, including back‑to‑back MLS NEXT Cup titles, and to expand opportunities for homegrown talent.
Tierney added that he feels a responsibility to make the Revolution better and is grateful for the confidence placed in him.
The club’s 2026 MLS campaign will restart on July 22 with a home match against Toronto FC, a game that will test the new leadership’s ability to translate strategy into results on the field.
