The Richmond Hill Wildcats girls soccer program has cemented its place among the state’s elite, capturing five consecutive Region 1‑6A championships and securing a berth in the Class 6A state quarterfinals.
Guided by Coach Shawn Allen, the squad closed the season with a 19‑1 record, showcasing disciplined play and depth that set the tone for the entire campaign.
Coach Shawn Allen earns Coach of the Year
Allen’s leadership was recognized with the All‑Greater Savannah Girls Soccer Coach of the Year honor, highlighting his ability to maximize talent and maintain a winning culture.
Senior forward Ella Peterson was crowned Region 1‑6A Player of the Year and will continue her career at Virginia Military Institute, where she will join a program known for its strong defensive schemes.
Goalkeeper Kamryn Martinez also earned All‑Region honors and has committed to Dalton State College, bringing her shot‑stopping expertise to the next level.
Other standout performers include Reese Bailey of Savannah Country Day, named Region 3A Division I Player of the Year, and sophomore Alyssa Gibson of Calvary Day, who posted 43 goals and 10 assists to claim Offensive Player of the Year.
Defensive stalwart Lauren Lewis of Savannah Country Day received Defensive Player of the Year accolades, while senior Holly Kachmar of Islands was selected as Region 3‑3A Player of the Year and will attend Georgia Tech.
Awards Ceremony Set for June 5
The 2026 All‑Greater Savannah Girls Soccer first‑team selections will be celebrated at the Coastal Empire High School Sports Awards Show on June 5, where the community will honor these athletes and provide a platform for them to announce their collegiate destinations.
