On a crisp evening in Richmond, Virginia, the city’s police force joined the administration in a friendly showdown on the hardwood at River City Middle School.

The contest was part of the weeklong 804 Day celebration, a series of activities that highlighted downtown businesses during Black Business Month through events such as First Fridays.
