Rick Klimchock has been named the new head coach of the women's basketball program at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, bringing more than four decades of coaching experience to the role.
Klimchock previously served as an assistant coach for the Pitt‑Greensburg men’s basketball team and has amassed 425 career victories as a high school head coach at Greensburg‑Salem, Franklin Regional, Jeannette and Saltsburg.
His coaching résumé also includes a stint with the AAU program Pittsburgh Storm and several years as an assistant at Saint Vincent College, giving him a deep reservoir of talent development expertise.
Central to his vision is a focus on skill development, accountability and creating a positive culture that student‑athletes can be proud of long after their playing careers end.
He plans to make local recruiting a priority, building relationships with the current roster and establishing the foundation for future success.
