RIT's baseball program is basking in a wave of recognition after the 2025 Liberty League season concluded with a clutch performance that saw the Tigers capture the league tournament and secure a spot in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
All-Conference Honors
The league announced its 2025 All-Conference First Team, and five RIT standouts earned the distinction. Graduate students Dylan Joseph and Max Matteucci joined seniors Jarin Moses and Jackson Rusiecki, while sophomore Ryan Moran rounded out the selections. Each player brings a unique statistical edge that helped shape the team's success.
Matteucci leads the squad with a .409 batting average and a .761 slugging percentage, while Moses maintains a .345 average and has appeared in all 36 games. Rusiecki is hot at .368 across 31 contests. Joseph posts a 6-0 record with a 2.06 ERA, ranking second in the league, and Moran tops the conference with a 7-0 record and a 1.93 ERA over 46.2 innings.
A Road to Gorham
The Tigers will open their NCAA Division III Tournament run against Rowan on May 15 in Gorham, Maine. The matchup promises a clash of top-tier programs, and RIT's recent tournament berth underscores the program's rising profile.
Coach Dan Lillich praised the collective effort that led to the historic season, noting that the blend of veteran leadership and emerging talent has set a new standard for future squads. The team's momentum carries not only individual accolades but also a shared ambition to advance deep into the national tournament.
