Season Overview
The RIT Women's Hockey program unveiled its 2026‑27 slate, a 34‑game schedule that blends non‑conference road trips with a heavy home presence at the Gene Polisseni Center.
The season opens with a two‑game road series at Clarkson on September 25‑26, setting the tone for a campaign that will see the Tigers travel to face a mix of ECAC and Hockey East opponents.
Conference Play Begins
The first home appearance comes on October 2 against Colgate, followed by a weekend series versus Delaware on October 9‑10 that marks the start of Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) competition.
A highlight of the early schedule is a home showdown with Northeastern on October 23‑24, and the Tigers will close October with a two‑game series against Penn State on October 30‑31.
November brings a series of road games at Robert Morris on November 6‑7, then a home weekend against Lindenwood on November 13‑14, before the first semester wraps up with matches at Mercyhurst on November 27‑28.
New Year and Final Stretch
The new year opens with a doubleheader at New Hampshire on January 1‑2, after which the Tigers will embark on a stretch of eight games, five of which will be played away, culminating in a home series against Mercyhurst on February 12‑13.
Postseason Outlook
All seven AHA teams qualify for the conference tournament, beginning with a first‑round game on February 18, followed by best‑of‑three semifinals on February 26‑28, and the championship game scheduled for March 6.
The winner of that championship earns an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament, a goal the program has pursued since joining the AHA.
Head coach Celeste Brown emphasized that the schedule is designed to test the team early and build momentum toward the postseason, noting that all games remain subject to change.
