RiverHawks Aim for Repeat
The RiverHawks of Ridgeline High School entered the season as the clear favorite in Region 11 after posting a perfect 14‑0 record and boasting the most potent offense and defense in the 4A classification.
Although the team lost standout talents such as four‑star Oklahoma commit Krew Jones, it will field a revamped lineup anchored by quarterback Crew Cox, who takes over as starter after a year as backup, and an experienced offensive line that should help maintain the unit’s momentum.
Stansbury Stallions, runners‑up in the coaches’ poll, return quarterback Brighton Reutzel, who threw for 3,014 yards and 42 touchdowns last season, while Green Canyon Wolves bring back Ethan Munk, who posted a 23‑4 touchdown‑to‑interception ratio and 2,186 yards in 2025.
Mountain Crest Mustangs, despite returning only four starters, are expected to stay competitive as youthful players step into larger roles, whereas Bear River, under new head coach Craig Anhder, inherits a program with ten returning starters but has not captured a region title in two decades.
Tooele Buffaloes, led by head coach Tuli Wily‑Matagi, will rely on quarterback Gus Pater to bounce back from a challenging 2025 campaign, while the newly formed Deseret Peak Golden Eagles, in their second year of competition, finished winless in Region 11 last season.
Coaches’ projections place Ridgeline at the top, followed by Stansbury, Green Canyon and Mountain Crest, setting the stage for a tightly contested race that could reshape the regional landscape.
