Riverhead Raceway in New York is gearing up for a packed doubleheader weekend that blends top‑level NASCAR competition with a full slate of demolition and figure‑eight events.
On Friday, the track will host the NASCAR Local Racing Series, featuring the Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modifieds, Late Models, Blunderbust, Street Stocks and 4/6‑Cylinder Enduro cars. Mark Stewart currently tops the Modified standings by two points over Owen Grennan, while Matt Triola and Jim Laird Jr. share the lead in the Blunderbust class. Street Stocks will see Brandon Hubbard and Jarrod Hayes among the contenders, and Chris Olivari leads John Palmeri by ten points in the Enduro division.
The Late Models return for a 25‑lap feature after a weather‑induced hiatus, adding extra anticipation to the night’s action. Pit windows open at 5:00 PM, with pit gates accessible from 5:30 PM and general admission kicking off at 6:30 PM, followed by opening ceremonies at 8:00 PM.

Saturday’s lineup includes a School Bus Demolition Derby starring Frank Dumicich Jr., Ryan Zukowski, Sean Fitzpatrick, Chris Lescenski, Joe Warren Jr., Jimmy White Jr. and Rob Kettenbeil, alongside a Trailer Race, Flag Pole event, One‑on‑One Spectator Drags, Smash‑to‑Pass Race and a 4/6‑Cylinder Figure Eight class.
General admission gates open at 5:00 PM, with opening ceremonies scheduled for 6:30 PM, promising a full day of high‑octane entertainment for fans across Long Island and beyond.
