Southwest Showdown Returns to Tucson
The Tucson Roadrunners are set to kick off a three‑day preseason showcase at the Tucson Arena, bringing together four American Hockey League clubs for a series of high‑stakes matchups and community‑focused activities.
Fans can mark their calendars for September 25 through 27, when the arena will host a slate of games that pits the Colorado Eagles against the Texas Stars, the Henderson Silver Knights versus the Roadrunners, and additional cross‑matchups that promise competitive hockey and lively atmospheres.
Fan Fest Kicks Off the Action
On the opening day, the Roadrunners Annual Fan Fest offers autograph sessions, public skating on the ice, live music, food vendors and interactive games, creating a family‑friendly environment that extends beyond the rink.
Ticket pricing reflects the time of day, with afternoon contests priced at $25 and evening games at $30, while day passes and two‑day packages provide value for those attending multiple sessions.
Presale access begins August 24 for season ticket holders and corporate partners, followed by a public on‑sale on August 31, ensuring early buyers a head start on securing spots for the highly anticipated event.
A special Showdown/Monica Ticket Package bundles two‑day passes with a $50 gift card to The Monica, adding extra incentive for early registrants.
The showcase is presented in partnership with Hampton Inn, Home2 Suites by Hilton Downtown Tucson, Doubletree by Hilton Tucson Downtown Convention Center and The Monica, underscoring local business support for the team’s community outreach.
This marks the second time the Roadrunners have staged a preseason event at Tucson Arena, building on a tradition that began in 2021 and reflecting the franchise’s growing footprint in the Southwest hockey scene.
