The Tucson Roadrunners announced the signing of forward Ty Tullio to a one-year AHL contract this August, a move that adds depth and versatility to their forward group.
Tullio, who turned 27 during the 2025-26 season, posted a career-high 23 points with nine goals and 14 assists in 50 games for Tucson, while also contributing 38 penalty minutes and a plus-five rating.
His statistical trajectory reflects a steady climb through the AHL, having accumulated 85 points over four seasons with Tucson, the Calgary Wranglers, Rochester Americans and the Bakersfield Condors, and he brings with him 128 minutes in the penalty box and playoff experience from six Calder Cup games.
Before reaching the professional ranks, Tullio dominated the OHL with the Oshawa Generals, notching 194 points in 187 appearances and earning a spot on the league’s Second All-Rookie Team after being selected 11th overall in the 2018 priority draft.
His junior career included a stint in Slovakia with HK 32 Liptovský Mikuláš during the 2020-21 season, where he contributed 13 points and 77 penalty minutes in 19 games, and he was originally drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the fifth round of the 2020 NHL Draft.
After a trade that sent Ryan McLeod and Matt Savoie to Buffalo, Tullio now looks to make an impact under the guidance of General Manager John Ferguson, who described the forward as a versatile addition that can adapt to multiple line combinations.
